New open ended trampetteMost gymnasts have now had the opportunity to use the new open ended trampette. For some it is easier to jump onto, but it is harder to use because the steel springs are very strong.
TrampolineThe Club has now been able to purchase a full sized Nissen trampoline with a 6mm competition bed.
Since it was first used, all the gymnasts have used it and it is helping them to get better shapes when in the air. This is being used with the new landing mat from Gymnova. Many gymnasts are now getting the confidence to go much higher in saltos (Somersaults).
New Gymnova MatWith the arrival of the new Gymnova landing mat, a VERY large red and green soft top mat, landings from a height are now much safer.
It has been used at the end of the tumble track, under the trampette landings and at the end of the trampoline for salto landings.
The Development and Intermediate Squads have also improved their Flics using the new mat.
Sainbury's Active Kids
The collecting box is now in the Gym. Please place your tokens in this box so that we can get new kit from the Sainsbury's Active Kids catalogue. This is the second year which we have collected tokens towards New kit.
Last year we were suprised and delighted by the response and eventually collected enough tokens to get:
This year we are hoping to collect enough for a larger piece of equipment.(A crash mat or larger!)
Please help us by collecting yourself and also by asking friends and family to support us.

Sainsburys Equipment 2010
The vouchers collected have resulted in eight new skipping ropes for smaller gymnasts and twelve smaller hoops, these are now being used.
Tesco Equipment 2010
Thank you to all parents and friends of the Gym Club who sent in their Tesco vouchers earlier in the year. The new Crash Mat, springboard and skipping ropes have arrived which are now in use. A large bag has also arrived, to carry the Display Group equipmen to festivals and displays.
Bags for Schools 2010
Thank you to all who contributed items for the bags for schools collection.
There were over 150 bags which weighed 800kgs. This resulted in a payment of £320 which will arrive in the next few weeks. We will then be able to purchase the Crash Mat which we were hoping for.
Ink and Toner cartridges
The last palette of cartridges was sent away a couple of months ago. We have now recieved a cheque for £87 which will go to our equipment fund.

Altered Plans for Little Rascals
A set of modified plans have been submitted to the East Riding Planning department which will retain our right of way from the new gate, to the proposed houses, which will be moved slightly to be more in line with the end of First Avenue, to the centre of the new wall across the car park where there will be an access gap.
These plans have now been passed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Thank you to all the gymnasts who took part in what was possibly the best display weekend yet.
